How to switch dxlevel permantley
Yeah ever sense I changed to dxlevel81 I want to swtich back and I know if you go to console and type mat_dxlevel 9/9.1 it'll work, but not permantley, so I just need to know how to change it back permantley. I have tried in launch options but then my video set ups change to much higher and that happends everytime i launch tf with -dxlevel 9.1/9 in launch options. So is there some sorf of command for console that will launch everytime i start game like with mat_dxlevel 9 but without typing it? Cuz as i said putting -dx level 9 changes my video set ups.

Put "-dxlevel 90" into launch options.

Higher? Dx level 9 is maxinum value if I'm not mistaken. And of course it goes to "highest" since it is. WHat about "-dxlevel 80"?

It shouldn't be reseting if you put -dxlevel 90. Dunno whats wrong. Maybe remove it after first launch?

Did you fix it?

launch regedit and delete 'HKCU\Software\Valve\Source\tf\Settings\DXLevel_V1" . Next time the game launches it will re-detect your hardware capabilities and set this key again. if you use the dxlevel launch parameter it sets this manually and permanently, as you noticed.
