hi i'm emily has Team Fortress 2

Disabling Killcam

Is there a way to disable the killcam? Whenever it comes up, my computer lags uncontrollably for about half a minute. Pressing space doesn't help, because by the time I can skip it my computer has already started lagging. The only fix I've seen is typing "cl_disablefreezecam 1" into the console, but I tried that and it said "unknown command".

"Don't die" is not an acceptable answer.

Doesn't work, don't like it don't look. Deathcam can help, it can show you where they are.

Edit: if they are a sniper.

What do you mean, "don't look"? It's not that I don't like it, it's that it makes the game literally unplayable for a good 15-20 seconds after I respawn.

I run everything on minimum settings and I still have this issue. Problem is, upgrading my computer is currently out of the question.

hapens to me but in a smaller scale, just a 3 sec lag spike but still ass annoying cos i think i die from the lag spike but not
