I'd also prefer the latter, actually. As I'm not fond of using the other alternatives aside from it.

Stock for sure, Scottish Resistance is good for multiple traps without having to detonate all bombs, but it has disadvantages like you should not be too far away from them so you can aim and detonate all the bombs or one of the traps, and its difficult to detonate them quickly while you are in a combat, maybe you manage to win the combat but its worthless to detonate bombs, or maybe you detonate and get kills, but you get killed for being distracted, its difficult. Funny tip: You should be in the hype tryhard mode, being skilled with the "SR", or being influenced by cocaine or energy drink :V to give a good use to it

I've been using quickiebomb, but I'm not at all effective with it, so I'm gonna try stock.

quickbomb is a bit faster, but with less damage, no more than that, its better to retreat with stock, put a trap, and when the enemy comes for you, there he goes exploded for rushing, or at least you can get a barrel and get distance. maybe is better quickbomb to take out engi nests faster and facing enemies with stickies faster, but for traps, its situational to need to do a trap quickly, (thats my thought and also for the exp i got for using them and determining which is better in my opinion and playstyle)

Both are good. Stock is a great for CC and damage output while the Quickie is great for battling faster or farther away targets or fighting in open areas.
