How to reset the settings

is there a way to reset all the settings in the game?

imagine answering to a thread thats 3 years old because someone necro'd it

If you're asking to reset controls just go into Options and click Reset to Defaults.

If you're looking to clear the entire game wiping all huds, mods and configs here's how:

Top left, click Steam, Settings, Cloud, uncheck Cloud Sync.

Go into Local Disk C:, Steam, steamapps, common, Team Fortress 2, tf, delete "custom" and "cfg"

Go into Steam Library, right click TF2, Properties, Set Launch Options, input -autoconfig

Launch TF2, everything should be vanilla.

REMEMBER TO REMOVE -AUTOCONFIG AND REENABLE STEAM CLOUD otherwise everytime you launch the game it'll reset everything again.

uninstall and reinstall will not do any good win you have Steam's Cloud Sync on Leave Steam's Cloud off for 24 hr

No need to uninstall just delete
delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\24787237\440\remote\cfg
delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg
delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom
Verify Steam Cache
