Team Fortress 2
Whats the point of TF2's workshop?
Other than making new hats and whats the point? There are so many really cool maps that I can download, but I have all most no way of even playing them. So many cool gamemods, weapons, and maps just go unused. So whats the point? All the maps I've downloaded for TF2 have never been played because no servers host them and I have no way of playing them my self.

To make the community feel like they have a chance at getting items added to the game.

Votes do not even matter on the steam workshop and there is proof of it.

Not sure what that is to be honest.

But I do know I seen items with 10 favorites get added to the game over items that have over 1,000 favorites. And it looked pretty good to.

What are you talking about? Valve doesn't even add anything!

Im not even asking for them to be added to the game. Im asking that when I download a map from the workshop I shoud have a way to play it. Just let me play them with bots in offline mode or something.

you can
That is true. But what Valve should do is let them be added to your level list. That way you do not have to use the ingame consol to play them.

No, no you can't. You CAN start a server, go through the 1000 maps this game has, then adds bots through the console and watch as the bots do nothing because they have no path finding.

map "map_name"
nav_generate
tf_bot_quota 23
congrats you're playing the map with bots
I didn't know that. Well that solves the map problem. Does that also work for MVM maps? I don't think so but that would be cool.
