tf2 error with a vgui material

so when iw as playing tf2 i incountered a error
i was jsut playing normally then *BANG* it has a error valve issue --- Missing Vgui material vgui/..\vgui\maps\menu_thumb_Missing
--- Missing Vgui material vgui/..\vgui\maps\menu_thumb_Missing
--- Missing Vgui material vgui/. idk if thats spam so its not directly when i join a server it jsut happens after 1-15 mins if someone could share the file that would be great

Actually I got this error too. But it's nothing serious. You can play without it.

ok so i have an update it works fine and well but still i get the crash error but it doesnt kick me off o3o weird..

This error is common when playing on certain maps. Does this kick you out of the game though? For me it shows up in the console but affects nothing at all. I believe this happens because when you're joining a server it says the map name along with a few pictures but if there are no pictures it gives that error. For me it's harmless though.

im guessing packet loss, i can barely play cause it causes major rubberbanding. at its worst i get stuck, cant move but i can see everyone else running around me.

It affected my mic I don't know how tho because when I typed
voice_enable 1
voice_loopback 1
voice_scale 1

into the console it said vgui crosshair missing and I think their related

BUMP when i get this error it starts making my game laggier, and somehow increases latency overall. Not sure if causation, but definitely some correlation, seeing as it happens only when this crap comes on in the console.
