Team Fortress 2
BLU team in the comics and multiple of each class.
This has been annoying me recentally and because I can't be bothered to explain it in a paragraph here is what has been on my mind whenever I think of the TF2 lore:

  • Where is BLU team in the comics? (exception of BLU Engineer).
  • Why don't the mercs care that they are fighting identical dupes of themselves?
  • In 'A Smissmas Story' comic BLU Scout, Spy and Soldier are sent to court and sentenced to community service but in 'Unhappy Returns' RED Scout mentions a time where him, Spy and Soldier killed Santa (what happened with BLU team in 'A Smissmas Story'.
  • RED Soldier is Merasmus' roommate and a lawyer but in 'A Smissmass Story' BLU Soldier is both of those too.
  • If, Meet The Spy, Medic and Pyro are cannon (which I don't think they are because they aren't interviews) then why is RED Spy is in a relationship with BLU Scout's mom but is also RED Scout's father and madly in love with his mom?
  • It has been mentioned that there are 18 mercenaries (9 per team) but why is there an army of BLU Soldiers in Meet The Medic? (As I mentioned before I don't think that is cannon).
  • This is a small one but what happen's after one of the 2 teams wins the game on Helltower? Or by cannon does that too end in a stalemate?
  • If Radigan Conagher designed the blueprints for the Sentry Gun then why does RED Engineer take the credit in Meet The Engineer. Also shouldn't it be BLU Engineer instead of RED?
  • If the mercs are in fact clones then whenever they die isn't it a bit dark that they aren't the exact same people returning home to their family but they have the same memories etc?

If anyone has any answers to these then please comment them thanks because i'm really curious.

BLU was merged into RED for the robot war, got fired when they lost, but they didn't bother reorganizing them into their former teams

They don't fight duplicates of themselves, they're all regular people who happen to share the same required work uniforms, and their jobs are probably figured out based on their physique and mental abilities. Gameplay-wise it's just less work for the devs to use the same models, it's easier to tell who is who during a game, and doesn't matter for the sake of gameplay

Every other point you bring up can be explained with the above two points

Yea I think the mercs in the TF2 Comics series are mixed up after the robot war. But I don't think they stayed that way because they would definitley know they aren't that dumb. Also ik the gameplay isn't cannon I'm talking about the lore and comics etc.

I think in a comic, the teams were merged for the Sentry Guns to acknowledge them as allies.

Everything takes place before the robot wars except for the seven-part comic series.
