Does turning off my antivirus while playing increase my fps?

i have ESET NOD32 in my pc and i was wondering if it affected performance and if it does, if i turn it off while playin is my pc in danger?
im sorry i dont know much about pc :C

disabling background programs will almost always improve your framerate

as for the antivirus, there shouldn't be any problems if all you're doing is TF2
anything that could cause problems would have to already be somewhere on your computer, and if your AV hadn't detected it beforehand, it wouldn't have mattered anyways
