How do I get rid of the black bars on the screen?

I want to play the game stretched but when I put it on a low resolution there's two black bars on the screen. How to remove them?

There should be a "widescreen" option in Video somewhere. Look around.

go to your graphics card control panel
somewhere in there you should find some scaling options you can tweak
usually stretch to fit, preserve aspect ratio, and no stretching
you're likely on the second option; you'll want stretch to fit

Don't play stretched
Trust me. It might be helpful in csgo but here it just cuts off the fov

Also since you want to play on stretched i'm assuming that you will probably play sniper or spy. Please don't.

This happens when the games resolution doesn't match the native resolution of your monitor, i.e. you attempt to use a fullscreen resolution size on a widescreen monitor. Change the resolution settings so they match your monitor type.

i know right. Imagine playing tf2 for the first time then having your screen divided in half by 2 black bars on top and bottom of your game. Too bad idk how to fix it.
