Few large communities tend to be nearly devoid of people like that.
2. Most of the toxicity on the forums doesn't really come from the actual "community" members. Just idiots or trolls taht want to get a jab out of the community for a laugh.
3. Constant, consistent, neverending, eternal posts that almost always have no coherence or reletivity and those that do have have typically been done over, and over, and over, and [REDACTED TO END RANT].
But when players act stupid like going friendly on a serious game, having absolutely zero clue on what to do or being that 4th spy I'd say it's justified. Lack of common sense is a sensitive trigger.
Also, I feel the same way you do, bit I don't mute people because I'm too lazy and I'm too busy playing to care.
So you get people who are brand new being mixed in with people with over 5,000 hours who have no patience or a shred of enjoyment in the game left, harping on newbies for not being as good as them at only 100 hours. Then you toss in the trolls and general internet ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and you've got the frat house that is TF2.
That being said, I think TF2 is far from the worst out there. It's not one I can say I have to mute everyone just to play. That goes to League of Legends.
