Engine error: Out of memory or address space. Texture quality setting may be too high
pls help

this just started popping up today

You don't have anough memory to run TF2.

Remove some useless files from your computer.
It's talking about the RAM, not the hard drive. You have to low the texture quality in your settings.

This just started today (i've been playing tf2 for the past week) and I haven't downloaded anything in forever... could it be something else?

I'll try that and see what happens. If it still does it I'm going to go with the good ol' uninstall and reinstall.

Try lowering all the textures. The game will look like smashed potatoes, but your RAM will rest a bit more (as well as your CPU).

I think part of my problem was that my textures were on Very High, when High was the reccomended for my system.

Still, I recommend medium or low, and without water reflection.

hi i have chris max frames and few other mods to boost my tf 2 but still crashes..

alrighty, My tf2 is on the lowest possible settings, low on every graphics settings sometimes the memory doesn't skyrocket, other times it does. Any fixes bois?

i setted everything on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ low,EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THING and it still crashes for me

check file memory dump or something called like that, maybe the game isn't using full RAM
