Length?
Hey there. Anyone knows how long a playthrough of this would last, without going back and changing choices?

Hello Dovaqui,
A playthrough is about 45 to 60 minutes. You have 30+ playthroughs in the game. :D

I guess a playthrough doesn't mean exactly the same thing in our game than other games. All the stories you may play are related, and each one is in a way a continuation of the previous one, because Reynardo is aware of every story he goes through, keeping his levels and progression, as well as any knowledge he has gained in previous stories Think Edge of Tomorrow (the movie, also maybe be called Live Die Repeat) !

Ah, so it's not "Hurray, I won! But what if I'd done this or that choice instead? let's play again from the start!", but rather those choices will be tested, new ones appearing, and all in a single playthrough looking for a satisfying ending.
That sounds interesting. I was asking because I wanted to play with a friend over some evening(s), curious how much time would be needed to reach a proper ending point, not just the end point of 45-minute playthrough #1.
Seems trickier that most games, if the good combination can be found sooner or later by choosing right.

avarage 45 min? can't you read? 45 min*30 is much more. Well some people just understand the concepts of some games.

(he has 3 episodes right now). This might help to undertand what one playtrough is. Especially the end of his 3rd episode might be helpfull. Sorry if i was a little harsh.

That you tube video mentions it is optimized/prefered for controllers, Thats dissapointing....Well i may not get this after all... Maybe someone will chime in on another thread about keyboard/mouse controls.

So short and sweet but it's a ton of replayability. I can live with the action game version of FTL.

As the dev said, one specific path of the story takes between 45-60 minutes to complete. But you can't satisfy yourself with that ending only. It's usually some bad ending and you need to complete a few in order to reveal some truth. Once the 4 main truths has been revealed, it unlocks the final ending.

So, all in all, if you're lucky and unlock the 4 truths in a row, plus the final ending, it already takes something in between 4-5 hours to complete the game in a perfect streak.

I personally played with random choices and it took me a lot more tryouts to unlock the final ending. So i think it took me something like 10 hours

And for those like me who feels the need to discover all the possible endings, your in for 25+ hours :D

By chance I managed to get the "True Hero" ending in what i assume is the minimum of 5 playthroughs, given the bonus you get for doing that and the choice UI changes to show you a lock symbol to help you find paths you have not done yet, I would say that is a "complete" playthrough.

That took me 4 hours without dying, But there is ALOT more to playthrough and see.

Took me 5 hours to beat, i didn't use a wiki just used in clues to figure ♥♥♥♥ out. the game does a pretty awesome job leading you to the true ending, in fact i think it's a bit too good at it! If they make another game like this i suggest making the true ending harder to get. i died about 15-20 times since mouse and key controls are a bit awkward. most of the deaths came from 3 areas in game. STILL this was worth buying full price! I loved every minute of the game.

I'll be looking forward to the next game they make.
