Dialogue bug? (possible spoilers)

I just attempted to play the game and I got to the first quiz. When asked "Which character is ___", the text quickly disappears before I can see the Hiragana character and I'm left staring at the the 3 vowel choices, but I really have no idea what the question was. Is there a setting somewhere that slows down the text? I noticed this issue as well while learning the brush strokes of the vowels.

Strange the question should stay visible underneath the answers. Also do you have a monitor that goes higher than 60hz refresh rate? The game speed is locked to the framerate so if you have anything over 60hz the entire game runs faster, including text.

I figured out the issue. I'm on a macbook and made the mistake of trying to run the game through Windows via Parallels. I installed steam on my Mac side and it's working fine.

Hi, iI hope this thread is appropriate for my question. I'm new to this. I just tried to install Steam on a Macbook-pro using Parallels to emulate Windows. Catalina didn't work for all games. and not at all for some others. After installing steam for Windows, it asks for my id to update my profile. No ID I have used works. Does Parallels work well anyway, and what am I missing for ID? Thanks a lot for any ideas.

Does the id is asked by parallels or by steam ?
Do you have you tryed to use the game with steam for mac ? It's seemed a better solution like said above.

I'm not sure how work parallels (what I have understood is that it's paid software for emulation).
and I'm a windows user.

If you confirm that it doesn't work I may see if I could make the game worked on Catalina.
