Why are people so sexual on VRChat?

I can't have a normal conversation with anyone, guy or girl, without them mentioning things related to sex.

Is it teenagers and their hormones or is this the new generation?

I partly agree. I just think that humans have always been this way, but online setting gives one some distance and a sense of anonymity, thus making it less frightening than it is in person. It's rather scary, actually, to approach a living person face to face about something, least of all asking for help, money, or sex. Being online makes it easier and with less consequences (no one is going to slap your face and there are no onlookers to witness your humiliation), so people do it more readily.

On top of that It also allows people to mindlessly bash the Star Wars movies, Darling in the FranXX anime without a care that you also see people trying to join whatever is the mainstream fad. They see people having fun with Knuckles meme so they do that, or with being horny in VRchat, among other things.

Then you see people trying to do the same for being lewd, and all that stuff. As much as I've gotten pushbacks people simply proved my point how they follow others in a tribal mentality that they want to be a part of the "big thing" (fads) to feel included.

Also, look at the threads here on VRchat steam forums with people saying how lonely they are and such..... (Just go up to people to say "Hi" to then ask if you want to hang out and do something). People seek validation that it seems easy to do such via being lewd, being a part of the Knuckles memes, or somehow wiggling your way into the Nagzz21 fandom, and etc. I'm sure I"m guilty of something somewhere in the anime realm.... I'm not an exception to the tribal mentality, neither is the person saying they aren't either.

I guess being lewd simply allows us to "connect" with one another in weird ways.

In all honesty, don't play VRChat. You seem too intelligent for the game. Just remove it and never look back.

I agree with you. The people in it are way too immature. But there is always a small amount of cool people, wandering around in that game who I'm usually around with. The game itself is fun, talking about sex, moaning in the game or talking like an anime character to get attention (most girls on VRChat) is just very draining to listen to in the game. Blocking them becomes tiring. Nevertheless, from all the feedback I've gathered, I realized that a lot of mentally unstable people play VRChat, I guess it indeed is time to remove it or get used to them.

the game itself it actually pretty calming now that i think about it. realistically i think as the technology improves it can be used to help treat mental illness. and also will probably be used as a new form of prositution but hey its easier that way for most people anyways

People getting triggered about avatars being used

People just being immature.

But yeah I can agree with OP in ways too. I do some jokes here and there, but not really sexual.

Its pretty much a meme game that's nothing but a sh!tpost.

Sucks that the game is full of sex less dweebs, or else it would be fun. VR Chat is basically just lame little cliques full of men walking around in loli avatars, big time cringe.

Yeah I agree with you. All of them seem to be mentally ill.
Great example: "I can't make friends help me, I'm so lonely".

Another thing I noticed as well with people like you is that they are very negative about others rather than themselves. Always looking at the fault of others, instead of criticizing themselves. I'd call myself very mature with a bucket filled with confidence. Thanks for your opinion.

People act immature, lewd, and inapropriate because they can't get game in real life. Once they get VR that game literally becomes their life, It's sad. It doesn't help that twitch streamers feed into this game.
