Suddenly cannot hear people or chat with them anymore.

I have no idea what caused this. I just restarted the game, and then suddenly it's acting like everyone's muted, but they aren't muted in my menu or anything. I can still hear audio inside of vrchat like music and map audio, just not people; presumably they can't hear me either because when I try to talk they don't react.

I have this problem too. I had it working for a bit but within the same session the problem started again. I'm going to do a full reinstall and see what happens.

I learned it was because of updates. If you update and restart, you'll be able to hear and chat with other people who have also updated the game to the same version as you.
