Steamdeck EAC Fix

If you are playing VRC and begin to experince EAC integrity errors or file mismatch there is a quick easy fix:

1.) Browse to the game folder via Steam

2.) Delete the "VRChat_Data" Folder

3.) Validate game files, Steam will re-download the missing files

4.) Re-launch the game

In the odd event that this doesnt work, EAC itself may have an error. Repeat the above steps, however delete the EAC folder instead.

This has been the quickest and easiest fix that works 100% of the time. I still havn't narrowed down what causes it, and TBH I dont want to waste the time. This fix makes sure you dont have to re-install and lose all you personal settings and avatar config data

In the worst case scenario you may have to navigate to the Cache and manually clear any VRCA and VRCW files that EAC is flagging, that is much more complicated and annoying.

also btw for anyone who happens to see this thread you can add the file explorer (dolphin) into gaming mode and it's 100x more easier that way instead of just going to desktop mode all the time
