Heating issues.
I have a pretty damn good computer with some very nice water cooling and yet everytime i run the game in vr my integrated (not my dedicated gpu) slowly but surely gets up to 75 degrees celsius.
One time it got so hot my pc shutdown which sucks because ive already directed the load of work to my 4070 and despite running my integrated at about 20% to 25% load and my dedicated at about 50% to 60% my integrated still gets hot af.
I can run much more demanding games with no cooling issues at all, for example Cyberpunk max everything at 1080p with 165 fps, and the second i boot up vrchat in vr mode my integrated just starts melting.
My specs will be below and id love to hear some solutions.

Windows 11
Gpu : Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
Cpu : AMD Ryzen 7 7700x 8 core
Power supply : 850w atx 80 plus gold
Cooling : CM Master Liquid ml240l
Ram : 32gigs of ddr5
Storage : 2 tb nvme
Motherboard : Asus B650 Series AMD

Any and all help is much appreciated im just trying to get to the bottom of this.

that cooler is 180W, TJMAX for that cpu is 95c. i dont see a problem.

if your overheating its a you issue, vrc is using your gear to its max potential and your chosin cooling soulution cant handle your gear at max use. " can run much more demanding games with no cooling issues at all" clearly they arent as demanding as you think. TDP on

get a better cooling soulution or better yet drop the AIO and go multi-rad custom loop :steammocking:

This completely ignores the main issue and provides no help at all whilst insulting my perfectly decent setup. Stop being so rude and learn how to type a cohesive sentence.

I will say, i have a much worse rig then that, no water cooling at all, just a basic heatsink.

VRC does like to heat up my PC quite alot too, like.. loading in tons of unoptimized avatars or being in worlds that like to use the worst possible shaders and light sources... , but it's never really been enough to cause a shutdown. It usually heats up much more if extra apps are running in the background or extra monitors connected to the GPU.

Depending how long it's been, perhaps you may change your thermal paste on the CPU? It's not so great temps when it's completely dried out.. >.<

This would be a great idea if my computer wasn't so new its only 2 months old and my cpu is water cooled lol. I appreciate the recommendation and thank you for your input.

ok, did you check to make sure who ever built it didnt forget the TIM? or that they didnt go the lazy way and use one of those subpar themal pads?
