how do you add a password and username if you log in with your steam account?

soo i have vrchat and used to have a account but it was on a different computer and i wanted to know if i could add a password and username to see if i can login with it and if so then how?

Steam and Oculus accounts cannot be signed into using the VRChat website or VRChat SDK. This also means that Steam/Occulus accounts cannot upload content. To do these things you must use a dedicated VRChat account. If you want to log into VRChat with a specific steam account, then you need to make sure that you are logged into that account on Steam prior to starting the app.

You can link a VRChat account to a steam account to transfer rank and friends from a steam account, but you must have a VRChat account already made in order to do so.

wait so you're saying i should make a VRchat account then link it with the account i logged in? if i do this will i keep all of my avatars because i had some really good ones =v oh and btw i logged in with steam so can i still do this?
