VRChat SDK tab not showing up in unity

when i import the vrchat sdk into unity the tab at the top does not show up so i cant do anything, its just like if i didnt have the sdk at all
everything should be to date and here are some error that were in the console :

 Assembly 'Library/ScriptAssemblies/Assembly-CSharp.dll' will not be loaded due to errors:
Reference has errors 'VRCSDKBase'.

Reference validation can be disabled in the Plugin Inspector.

the one time i had the sdk not show up after import was the very first time i tried my hand at making my own stuff, i made the mistake of going for the "current up to date version of unity" when vrc dont do that, so, version check, are you on Unity 2019.4.29f1 because if not, it wont work.

thanks ! the tutorial i was watching said to use the 2018 version of unity
