Vive Tracker 1.0 vs 2.0
What the difference between these two and how would those differences affect VR Chat? I've Googled the question already and can't seem to find any article on the differences.

The 2.0 have a shorter battery life by about an hour and a half on average, but support steam VR tracking 2.0. This means that they will work with the newer base station models. The 1.0 trackers have longer battery life, but support SteamVR 1.0 tracking only. Meaning they will only work with SteamVR 1.0 base stations.

2.0 hardware will work on 1.0 and 2.0 base stations. But 1.0 hardware only work on 1.0 base stations. The actual tracking quality isnt really that different.

It mostly means that if you get the full index kit, for example, that comes with 2.0 base stations, and so so MUST get 2.0 trackers. If you get an original Vive though, that uses 1.0 base stations, so you can go for 1.0 or 2.0 trackers.
