As far as I'm aware, you are still able to create and and log into a dedicated VRChat account regardless of region. So if you do not want to change your region temporarily, I recomend making an actual VRChat account. There are certain drawbacks to using Steam accounts anyways. Please up-vote that Canny though regardless if you can!
