uninstall and install back again (the game is like 1.1Go)
Interestingly the crash only happens if my controllers are powered on. If the controllers are powered off or if using the non-vr desktop version, the game launches fine (obviously can't click anything like the login screen without the controller in vr version). The moment I power on the controller, VRChat crashes.
Thank you so much!
Also make sure that Radeon Settings is updated
It occurred while I was using OpenComposite (so when I wasn't launching the game with SteamVR). Now that I deactivated it, I can launch the game with SteamVR, but the reason I downloaded OpenComposite in the first place was because SteamVR makes everything lag, and it didn't miss out, I get more and more stutters as I play and ultimately completely freeze after less than an hour.
TLDR; How do I launch the game via OpenComposite without crashing? The problem sure doesn't come from OpenComposite itself as I can launch other Steam games with it.
Interestingly, according to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/3078 which has the same crash error I had, the issue was the rendering of custom controller graphics, which explains why it was only crashing for me when controller was connected.
I'll load into the game, but when I try to go to my home world I'll get the Unity crash handler. I've uninstalled both vrchat, steam, and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of EAC. Nothing I do works, no updates work, I've tried updating both my navida graphics drivers, and my regular drivers, and I set my EAC in services to manual, I'm lost on what to do and I sent my steam ticket in a week ago, thinking it might be a problem with my latest version of steam, cause I've been experiencing similar things with other games involving EAC, so if any of you could suggest some ideas that would be amazing, I'm entirely lost on what to do, and steam support hasnt gotten back to me yet.
