VR and non-VR crossplay?
I have VR but my friend doesn't. How do I play with him using my VR set? Will my Oculus Rift activate in desktop mode?

You have a choice to launch in Desktop or VR mode when you start VRChat. You both should be able to interact no matter what modes you're in. You just have to be able to locate each other in the worlds.

Of course the person in Desktop mode will not have the functionality of a person in VR mode.

Yes the game is crossplay.
