Is their a way to play in vr mode without a headset?

Cant i use a xbox kinect with my ps4 controller for the controls for like walking etc.Because i want to play vr mode on my monitor without having a vr headset attached to my head. As far as i know the xbox one kinect has really good body tracking. Could this be a good option?

Well when they play games with bongos and bananas and such they just substitute inputs so if you can rig the inputs to mimic a vr headset then go for it, but i dont think a lot of ppl have done that

Thanks for the reply i heard you can download download a special driver called driver 4 VR. As far as i know the ps4 controller has a gyroscope which could work.
