Rebinding Push to Talk on Desktop

Hiya!

I've been really enjoying VRChat lately, but I've been struggling with constantly opening and closing my menu to mute and unmute myself. My mic isn't the best, so it's hard to tell if I'm giving off huge background noise or not. That's why I usually mute myself between sentences so that I'm not being incredibly obnoxious. Muting myself through the menu is a rather huge hassle and near impossible when I'm sitting down and my menu collides with an object.

I'd much rather hit V, the push to talk in game to mute and unmute, but unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a bad situation for that. My keyboard is getting old, and the only key that is missing from this keyboard is the V key. Even if I were to replace the keyboard, I'm certain that I'd want to rebind it anyway. I can't seem to find anything in the game's settings on startup and also the settings within the game to alter this.

TL:DR; I want to rebind the V key on the desktop version of the game, but can't. External software doesn't seem to do the trick either. Is it actually possible to rebind this key? If not, are there any alternative solutions? (other than the obvious of being a reasonable human being and buying a new keyboard)

Can't you just get software that binds another key to V? Like bind X to V. Probably can do that with Joy2Key or something similar.

I tried doing this (I mentioned about the external software) with both SharpKeys and KeyTweaks, which both modify the registry to reassign stuff. Unfortunately, this hasn't worked out. Whenever I hit NUMPAD 3 (which is bound to V, it doesn't seem to do anything. My settings in VRChat are configured so that it should work out, but it doesn't.
