[Solved] Eye Tracking Nonfunctional and Driving Me Insane
I cannot for the life of me make Eye Tracking work. They were properly created in Blender, the mesh is correct, the head and eye bones are there, and the eye tracking testing shows them working. I export it to Unity, do the normal optimization of setting shaders to cubedparadox toon flat (for anime model), setting up the VRC_AvatarDescriptor, and making sure the bones in the humanoid rig mapping is correct, the left and right eyes set to LeftEye and RightEye respectively.

Despite all this, it doesn't work ingame. I've tried this on two different avatars, both with the same result. I've talked with about a dozen different people who made a custom model in February about eye tracking, and they all said they had no problem with getting it working. Other people's models have working eye tracking.

I've scoured YouTube, Google, and Reddit for help, all with no meaningful results. I have a reddit post asking for help with no help other than people saying they're having the same problem. I've sent in an email to VRChat staff to see if they can help at 9:00AM EST today with no reply so far, but I'm sure they probably won't get to it for a few days anyways, as e-mail support usually functions.

It's a small thing, but I have been trying to fix this for the past 3 days or so for hours on end, and I'm honestly at the end of my rope. I've followed the online tutorials to a T and still nothing. I don't know what to do or where to go at this point, and I really hope someone either in staff or very experienced with custom avatars can assist me.

Edit: I just now realized that I sent the e-mail to their Hello address instead of their Support address. I've sent it to that address now.

Edit2: VRChat Support said they can't help me with this, so no hope with them.\

Solution: Turns out that the naming is very important. I had my meshes set to all lowercase, which in turn was making the eye tracking nonresponsive. Changing the mesh names to have a capital first letter fixed this.

I gave up on it so i added my own blinking animation, it works in unity but does not show up in the game, however now eyetracking and built in blinking DOES WORK, weird, try adding a animation to your avatar?

What do you mean by built in eye tracking and blinking?
