Data Transfer?
I have been logging in on my steam account to play VR chat and I just now learned that you need to use a VR chat account to make your own avatar. I'd like to transfer my friends list from my steam vr account to my new VR chat account.

Just write down your friends names and send them a friend request on your new account. It helps to let them know if your name will be different too.

have the same problem and honestly really pissed.... why don't they have a disclaimer or something saying this BEFORE you spend 30 + hours ...

I know this is an old topic but now there is a way for you to transfer accounts. Just create a VRChat account and go to account link. It will ask for a merge token. In VRChat go to advanced account settings. Then generate a token. Select copy and then go back onto your new VRChat pages and drop the token in. If you have been playing for hours it will take a bit of time to transfer. It's only applicable once and then you can't go back.
