Cant talk in VRchat??

before you ask... Yes my mic is set up correctly, yes im on VR im using a vive, yes i have tried restarting, re installing, in fact i have at this point completely reset my PC.

my mic is queing in game, my name lights up, i have my vive mic disabled as i am using a headset with a USB cable run to my computer. My name lights up in game indicating i am talking, and the little mic icon in the bottom left lights up. every says they can only hear extremely faint static. my mic works in everything else, and i dont know what to do. HELP!

idk much about vr headsets (because I don't have one) But I would try using the vive mic and seeing if that works

there a mic volume on the left of the menu, make sure its high enough
