VRChat

Are my Specs good enough for vr?
I want to get a vr headset for vrchat and I am seeing mixed reviews on my graphics card for vr headsets such as the oculus.

Specifications:
Intel core i5-4460 3.2 ghz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
12 gb of ram
Windows 10 64 bit

Is my pc capable of running vrchat with an oculus? If it really doesn't work would a 1060 6gb gpu work fine?

I don't see why not, mabye the CPU is a bit old but I think the GPU should be fine.

I think your GPU should do fine for, but may struggle in more demanding game. A 1060 or equivalent should be a safe bet. You can probalby still get away with a 1050ti for most VR stuff.

Especially for vrchat, the most cpu demanding VR game :P

You'll be fine, I have a weak CPU as well but been able to play any VR game fine. It mostly matters on GPU.

But VRChat either way runs sluggish for me still. Other VR games are fine though so far.

Thanks I'm going to try to upgrade my CPU.

I'm using a better processor than yours it's an I5 7400 , not that strong and you don't need like a I7 processor in order to play vr, and other games depends more on gpu instead of processor but for vrchat it's the processor side of things that you need to take care. Like my game, it became not responding from time to time.

I am using I5-2500k with OC, GTX 1060 6GB, 16gb RAM and still playing fine with VIVE

Try the VR tester made by Valve, it will tell if your specs are VR ready or not

I actually play with an Oculus using a 1050ti, and it's still pretty rad, so you're a-ok! But as the other mentioned, the CPU is a tad iffy.

should be ok
