Extreme login/mirrors lag
I got my Oculus a few days ago and i'm having weird problems with extreme lag spikes. I'll try to be as specific as possible with the instances of lag.

1: Sometimes when i login and spawn in the hub, i have 1-2 fps and it lags super hard. I cant even get the menu up. When this happens, i can get up the steam vr menu, and its as smooth as butter. I can talk, look around and my avatar i responding. I go back in the game and the lag starts again. (Note that sometimes, i have no lag problems at all at login).

2: When the game works perfectly after login ( lets say 50% of the time) everything works nice. Except for one thing. Mirrors ingame. The same kind of extreme lag returns, and it immediately stops if i look away from the mirror. I mean if i see 1 pixel of the mirror, im dead. I look away 1 pixel, its fine again. Mirrors work just fine if im in the steam vr menu. But in game they lag again.

I cant wrap my head around why this happens, and why steam vr menu takes away all current lag issues while its up.
Please God, send me help!

I might add that desktop mode never has any problems what so ever.

I'm also seeing this and it makes the game tedious to go through and limits me to only a few different (non-mirror) rooms

(Edit: i noticed after writting my comment that this was a bumped post from January. Lol)

You can try lowering the setting by holding shift when launching the game. I play on low when in vr. Mirrors are a bit buggy, because they don't actually just reflect you. They render a copy of your model client side, that is mimicking your movements. Thats why if you talk, there is a delay for the mouth. I believe only your model is doing this clientside, and other players models are rendered before it reaches your client.

When in game, your pov model isn't quite the same as what the server sees. It has some things changed so your view isn't obstructed. A reflection of this would be odd. So for mirrors, it just makes a new model to overcome this.
