Avatar always turns back into default robot

Anyone know how to fix this. Like I'll choose a random avatar then anywhere from 5 minutes to 10 minutes later it'll change back to the robot avatar.

Do you have a unstable connection? Avatars you get in world aren't permanent so if you disconnect or close the game at all, you will revert to a default avatar.
I don't know too much of the ins and outs of the system cause I made a custom avatar when I first started.

dont have a unstable connection. cause it even does it when Im on my custom avatar

I'm hoping it's just the server issues. I uploaded a ton of models last night and only one can actually be used, the rest are just showing up as holograms. Which is pretty weird since a couple were just objects, no skeletons or anything fancy.

you have to merge your steam account with your vrchat account. open the game, go to the settings, and there will be an "update account" or something in the bottom right corner, then generate a code, and copy paste it to the vrchat homepage -> account link. you have to wait an hour, and done. It helped me, i hope it helps everyone who has the same problem
