FPS drops randomly and looking at mirrors

So whenever I play VRChat i get insane FPS drops whenever I look into a mirror and sometimes randomly through-out sessions. Sometimes its so bad that I have to leave the area or leave the world. I know the "some characters may cause lag" thing, but this isnt that. It happens even if I'm alone in a world or in a full lobby

this happens to me too. it's super annoying. i brought it up in the vrchat discord as well. i hope there's a solution

rip... I've been having this issue since using virtual desktop and steamvr, looks like no solution from steam or vrchat thus far. D'x

Mirrors are probably the thing that make you lag the most since it have to (more or less) render everything a second time. There is no work around this; you will get FPS drop by turning mirror on. Some world does have low / high quality mirror though, so if you want a smaller FPS drop, use the low quality mirror instead when available.
