VRChat
How to make your avatar invisible in VRChat for example for a jumpscare?
Hey guys,

First of all, I apologize for my English. It is not the best.

As mentioned in the title, I would like to make my avatar invisible in VRchat. But not just like that for no reason I would also like to scare some players.
So when I become visible again that also comes a scream or something like that.

How other Youtuber do it. Example: VR Lolathon.

Am still quite new to the VR world and have very little experience.

Or maybe there is a possibility to use already existing avatars with such abilities or animations?

Hope someone can help me.

1st just toggle the mesh.
2nd prepare to be blocked if you jump scare people.
3rd cant hide name plates, https://hello.vrchat.com/community-guidelines go down to avatar modifictions and read line two.

if it is forbidden, why Lolathon is still not punished?

Because it's still clear that it's Lolathon in the context of a video that Lolathon is uploading. In the context of a private instance with your friends with no ill intent, no harm done. In public however is a different story. Hiding nameplates is against the community guidelines because it can make it difficult for a moderator to identify a user in the case of something like video footage in a moderation report. By hiding your nameplate you can also obstruct the UI of the nameplate with additional UI elements, or "replace" UI elements to trick other users into thinking there is something on your nameplate that isn't actually there which can be mistaken as being a part of your real nameplate. To create a fake nameplate with another user's name, as an example.

Then what about the moments on the Twitch stream where he walks into friends' worlds and scares people who aren’t even his friends. Rather friends of friends, shouldn’t at least one of these people have complained about Lolathon?

maybe because he is a big part of why vrchat is so popular and he doesnt use his avatars to be malicious but for fun and laughs like everyone needs nowadays

by the way, maybe it’s just that almost all the people that Lolathon visits get reinvite and it’s a kind of warning to people to prepare
