Is CATS blender plugin a requirement for making VrChat avatars?

Hello, there is a add-on for Blender called CATS that nearly every avatar creation tutorial uses. I was wondering if this is a must have for anyone interested in making avatars, or if most of you dont use it.

It is not a MUST have by any means. If you know how to do the things that CATS automates then you can do it yourself by all means. It's just a neat little open source tool that makes some time consuming tasks easy. As someone who makes their models from scratch, I recomend it just for the convenient tools it offers for optimizing bone rotations and stuff. I don't know a single person who is aware of CATS that doesn't use it when making avatars.
