How do i turn invisible with an emote/gesture

Lately I've been waiting to make a animation of where my avatar turn invisible. As for example the avatar will spawn into the world as normal, but when i press one of the gesture such as handgun. I want them to turn invisible. Is anyone able to help me with a solution, thanks in advance.

In theory, this should be really simple. I'm going to assume you already know how to make animations in Unity and work from there. All you need to do is make an animation or use a template for one of some sort, and "add property." You'll want to select your mesh (which is usually just called "body" for VRChat) and press the + on the "is active" section for it. It'll show up with a checked box, and if you uncheck that box it will make you disappear. Don't forget to do that to both of the animation frames or you'll just blink rapidly.

I haven't tried this myself, but I have done something similar on my Tharja model where I have a book on her hip normally but I make it disappear and have her holding it in her hand with a gesture. So it SHOULD work on the same principle.

I have done this, when i look at my avatar i am invisible. However i still show up in mirrors and camera. However unsure if that's just for me or when i am invisible nobody can see me at all, including in mirrors and cameras. Just need someone to confirm it really

I have actually been trying to specifically create the effect of toggling an avatar between visibility inside and outside the mirror.

Have you gotten help in figuring out if others still saw you in the mirror while invisible?

This is very late but i have figured out if you make an animation that moves your avatar down a bit instead of disabling it or making it invisible it still has he same kind of effect.
