Unity or Blender for my first model?
So i'm about done putting textures on a model i made from blender and its going to be my first original model. I built it from scratch no downloads, so its not your usual downloaded mmd loadout. Basic, but pure. :espresso:

Its kind of like a cartoon style character, should I animate the eyes in blender or unity?

Also should I animate and rig the character itself through blender first or unity before sending it on its jolly way to VRchat?

(I do have some rigs ready on unity that I can use, however, not the size i need and i'm not sure if i can scale them at the moment. Id like to know the best importing/exporting process first.)

Thank you!:8bitheart:

Most people set up the bone structure and weight paint it in blender, then do the actual rigging in unity.

Almost all animation work is done in unity, but most of the time it uses bones and visimes created in blender. (The exception being particle animations, which just use unity's built-in stuff.) I think the VRCSDK automatically adds eye tracking and blinking, provided you have bones named certain things, and those bones are weight painted to the eyes correctly.

Thanks Qp, your info gave me a good idea on how I should finish the model. :)
