What Are Other Social Games Like VRChat
I've heard of Resonite, ChilloutVR, NeosVR... And aren't they just the same game but with less people playing the game? Maybe less trolls or toxic behavior?

But from watching a couple youtube videos they just look like the same game as VRChat? I mean if it's the same game just a different name why even try it?

Do the above games have ranks or levels like VRChat has Trust ranks? I really like having a goal to set for myself especially if I fail and make no friends then I can at least have achieved something.

I've heard of Horizon Worlds but I don't know where you would find this and I don't have a headset.

I know there are games like IMVU and Rec Room but like nobody talks on these games. They just pop in the room and pop out of the room and then you talk to nobody.

So are there any games like VRChat or that are just games where you can socialize and try to make friends?? Which ones would be the best?

There are, but since this is VRChat the topic should stay on VRChat not to be rude

it's like going into a McDonald's and wanting to ask questions about Wendy's, Burger King, and 5 Brothers

Hate to rain down the party but most social games even way back in FB game bubble era will always greet you with silence most of the time unless they're your friend to begin with. It's always same formula when it come to online social hub. Either join group and their discord to socializing with someone or go solo and hope no one pay you any mind.

From IMVU to Habo hotel, as far as my experience goes, everyone mostly kept to themselves. Guess they just curious what people can made in 3D environment world.

Well, sadly there isnt really something different in the same genre, despite people and market being absolutely in need of it. Horizon is hella bad.

Competion would force to current vr chat devs to start having good decisions and listen more to the community, instead of being closed to their own tastes and closed "groups"

nowadays its hard to make social apps tho, can't ask anyone to make it perfect

the more corporate vrchat becomes, you'll be thankful these other games exist. especially as they continue development on them.
Second Life is kinda like VRChat, but it's not VR and it's not on Steam.

Ever heard Chillout VR? Or CVR? People refer that thing when EAC was first implemented. If I'm not misremember, you have to make account for it since it can't login using Steam despite the fact you launching it on Steam. Maybe its good now, idk.

The issue is that while VRChat will have like 50,000 players online art one time that other game will have like 100 people online.

Well if those 100 people would likely talk to you and being social than getting into space that has 50k people that mostly stand still in front of mirror 24/7 then...what stopping us from testing the water at least :delicousbrew:

Last time I try CVR is last year (or was it 2 years ago? Idk, its around when EAC just implemented). I quit because the world variety is unlike VRC does. But if you want some chatting buddy, you might have your luck there than going into Omegle instance in VRC..yes, I try that pandora box and it scarred me to try for second time :cleandino:

Idk what you spent your time doing in resonite but it sounds like you opened it for 5 seconds, looked at a furry, said "this is vrchat" and left. The whole point of that game is to set goals for yourself, use the tools it taught you about in the tutorial to create your own assets tools and worlds for yourself or other people, the only things you get out of resonite are the things you create or have others help you set up, otherwise it's just a blank slate, that's the point.
I've seen some of the craziest things in that game and the creativity blows vrchat out of the water, you just have to think about it a little harder beyond "sit and talk"
For Christ's sake my friend is simulating an 8 bit processor and display entirely with protoflux that he can just whip out of his inventory anywhere, don't mean to sound rude but maybe next time read or listen to a mentor lmao.

Edit: yes I'm biased

I have visited ChilloutVR. It does not have as many nor as scenic worlds, but it does have a lot more freedom to create things and isn't as heavily monetized as VRChat. It does indeed have less than 100 people a day, but if you're more interested in chatting thane exploring then you wouldn't mind that.

Personally, I go to VRChat to explore the worlds, but ChilloutVR is better for making and trying out avatars and simply talking to people. I haven't tried Resonite for a while because it demanded more out of my graphics card than the other two apps. It had a difficult to learn user interface and even more furries than ChilloutVR, and the worlds still weren't very developed. I was also cautious about it because the old CEO had wanted to make the app use another crypto-currency scam, though I heard the rest of the developers were in the process of ousting him. I just know that Resonite wasn't for me at the time, but maybe I should check if it has improved?

Last time my friend talk about it they don't say anything about crypto. Maybe it was just a thrown buzzwords? Who knows. CEO can sometimes be such boomer that they thrown some term language that they don't understand because it sounds cool and thought it would be what market are after.
