18+ groups/worlds
I dont get how people can take this game this seriously. Like youll go to a bar world and they ask for age like its real life. Im not going to get drunk off of polygons, and Im old enough to not be annoying so its just pointless.

Suggestivity is 13+ appropriate and would be the current "age gate" clickable allowed via content creation, NSFW is against TOS.

Being in private doesn't necessarily make this content allowed under TOS... LAck of moderation doesn't equate to "this is now legal and allowed under tos".

Adults blaming children for all their issues are the height of ignorance and lack of accountability. Completely Shameful Mentality.

The above is all FACT. My personal opinion about groups: Take a look at anyone groups and tell me "Are most of these okay for a 13 year old to see? The answer will usually be NO! A FACT is that most of these break TOS.
Good luck trying to put a line on Suggestive and NSFW in a worldwide social app with people from diff countries with very diff age laws and views on what is nsfw.

Imagine being agaisnt two adults doing their own stuffs in private in a game. But VRC might become recroom soon, who knows.

Being suggestive with kids is worse than being +18 with another adult.

Most adults dont blame kids, they blame lack of control on their own lobbies and ways to kick kids fast. They trash the kids instead.

I despise bars and clubs, but saying that such worlds and +18 groups or +18 people wanting to be alone (which is a reason why public social stuffs is dying lately because of it) is bad, it is being completely blinded and devoided of reality. Just have to open the door of one's house and see how things works outside.
The height of ignorance is thinking that only adults or only kids are to blame, when the problem is deeper than that, and both sides should be accountable= bans.

The answer is VRchat especially in 18+ lobbies is used for dating. Adults don't want to be around minors in that environment.
Doing erp is not dating, i ll stop you right here. Most of the people in vrc have no idea what dating is, especially healthy one, they mostly have 0 real experience, they just be dirty online or gooners.

people irl date their partners in all age places you know.

You re still a kid, a kid that want to go in dirty places where there is dirty people. Irl or Vrc, you should not be there and you really wont find anything good, adult or not.

wasting your childhood for this kind of ♥♥♥♥ makes, while judging people for the same thing, make you look pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Like Irl, be a good lad and find good friends in all age places, dont be a looser.

Its called being cautious. If the instance were made by a specific group that state 18+ strictly, then its their right to ask you such question before they let you have your fun even if its public group. If its public instance, people who ask you such thing just don't want any trouble saying something out of line.

Do you think only adult who can trap a minor? Pretty sure we already see minor who manipulate adult on internet and make drama out of them saying something about being groomed at when it was their own doing by faking their identity just so they can enter the adult space despite not being eligible, got offended and then pull victim card. Now you know why such gesture exist in VRchat.

Still not a fan being asked for your age? Then just stick to non 18+ instances, no one judges you.

you must had horrible parents, or probably fatherless

At this point with how many 18+ lobbies there are there should just be a tag for those and you can have a option to hide those lobbies in the settings. Having 18+ and under 18 accounts would be nice as well. In fact as much as I don't want this, forcing people to link their Steam to a VRC account would be a good step if they do implement something like the 18+ and under 18 account system

It's actually against the TOS to ask for DOB. It's actually against TOS to discriminate based on age and have 18+ instances. You are only allowed to toggle the VRChat toggles to "Age Gate". You're not allowed to individually do that. If you read the TOS you'd see that. NSFW is still against TOS, "suggestive" content isn't and VRChat is at it's own discretion to moderate as their TOS states they aren't required to monitor or moderate their platform.

Game is 13+. Distribution of 18+ content to minors is illegal... People need to behave and act appropriately. If they don't they shouldn't be surprised when they get banned or laws are enacted that prevent them from doing whatever they want or removing their freedoms.

Because people are tired of young people here being annoying

And just because you claim you are "old enough" to not be annoying doesn't mean others are

As IRL it takes only a few ( sometimes only one ) to spoil it for others... if young people could control themselves and not be annoying there wouldn't be a need for 18+ groups / worlds

There are plenty of non-18+ groups / worlds... you'll have to make do with them
The thing is, Its a video game, Not real life, Your taking it too seriously.
If there is a weird sexual world that should be 18 plus.
But worlds like "bars" That are not real should not, People take the game wayy to seriously, Its vr, Not real life.

It's against the law to distribute illicit NSFW aka 18+ content to minors. Period.

It's against the tos of VRChat to have NSFW aka 18+ content on the platform. (And age is a protected class on VRChat and cannot be individually identified - TOS - Community Guidelines - Behavior guidelines)

"The Bar" is a virtual asset on a game that is being distributed via the "Real World". This game has impact and ramification on the "Real Life".

People who like to call a virtual world "not real life" are actually only fooling themselves into a false sense of ability to not be accountable for their own actions because they consider the world "fake".
