Turns out my bios did decide to turn on some OC features for what ever reason. Disabling them did get it to work in desktop mode at least. I'll just have to live with a 50% fix for now. Thanks for your help though.
Some games were going nuts on my PC, crashing from time to time. There were BSODs, but they were so rare and app specific(and that app was known to cause BSODs because of its anticheat system) I didn't even catch the "wind" of possible issue with an OC. Also, those were very moddable and not very stable(by their general description and known bugs) games, so I didn't mind them doing so. At some point, the crashes became unbearable and I've started digging around.
I've figured out that 99.99% crashes were happening during heavy CPU load, and the crash logs, after some clearing, were reporting "absolutely random" issues that had no real reason to happen, had no description on the net, or were described as being caused by RAM/CPU OC.
I've rolled back the OC I've done long time ago, and now all the issues are gone for good.
Even though they've "dumbified" the PC build and service process down to a kid's puzzle(slot in what is slottable, install OS, drivers and there you are), it still has many aspects and quirks like in the good ol' days.
