probably because most people who play this are either weebs or furrys. vrc lets furrys do furry things and is arguably better then what they used to use which was a thing called second life

Seems to me that that if you combine furries, weebs, trans-types, you basically got the majority of vrc crowd, the counter might be kids although they themselves are likely recruits to bolster the ranks of the above mentioned

Because you get to be one. Furries already buy expensive suits upwards of $1000, usually starting as just a head and gloves before getting a fullsuit. A beyond, Index controllers, and trackers being bought over the years isn't surprising. Especially when you consider it also starts as just a head and hands.
