The game is unable to "Locate the game binary"
I use a Windows Mixed Reality headset, it's called the "Lenovo Explorer". Apparently these headsets, and Windows Mixed Reality itself, are not going to be supported soon, and apparently might not be supported now?

But, attempting to launch the game after installing the update caused an error that reads, "Could not locate the game binary: 'C:\(file location)'"

I tried to verify the integrity of the files via the game's "Properties" option in Steam, and Steam noticed one failed file. It attempted to install the file, but failed, citing a "disk write error". Attempting to uninstall the game and reinstall it caused an identical problem, of getting to 99% installed and then failing due to a "disk write error".

Am I doing something wrong, or is the game's failure to launch due to my headset, the game's update itself, or something else entirely? I'm not sure what to do, and I'm sad that I'm missing out on hanging out with my friends tonight because of this issue. If there's anything that I can do, whether it be upgrading my headset, doing something in Steam, or what, I would very much appreciate any help I can get.

Okay, uninstalling the "Windows Mixed Reality for Steam" software has made the game work consistently in desktop mode. I might just need a new headset.

Oh, wow, then maybe it's just an update thing? I really hope that whatever this issue is gets resolved, because this has been a real bummer to encounter. I hope it works soon for you, too.

I don't know if you are aware, but WMR is discontinued by Microsoft since December 2023.
So it could be that going forward, more and more stuff breaks.

It appears that it was my antivirus, because I uninstalled my antivirus and it worked
