VRChat

VRChat won't launch on Linux.
I've installed the game multiple times and tried to run it. It would load up, reach 10%, and Easy Anti-Cheat will report a launch error, unexpected error #1. Is there any way to get the game to run? I'm using Proton Experimental.

Unfortunately, yeah Linux have their limitation when it comes down to gaming.

Anti cheats are a problem with Linux, I don't think it'll get any better anytime soon with Linux.

Try verifying the local files. I have to do that almost every day I start it.

Also, make sure you have the Proton Easy Anti-Cheat Runtime installed and working properly on your machine. I use Proton Experimental with the Bleeding Edge branch, and it works relatively well for me.

Ensure that you have Secure Boot and fTPM turned off as well. Those will freeze the game from my experience, unless you have Windows. In that case, you're toast.

After all of that, still nothing.

Running VRCHAT on Proton 7.0-6. Secure boot and TPM are turned on. Ubuntu Studio 22.04.3 with 6.2 kernel, 8th gen i7, GTX 1050. Latest Nvidia drivers. Runs ok except for the microphone.

Fellow linux user here, I noticed for some reason vrc refuses to launch due to EAC as of a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure if it was an update but I haven't been able to find a solution despite VRC working flawlessly on linux up to this point.
