VRChat
Whats the average age of most players?
Is it weird to be 30-40 and playing VR chat?

According to google, the bell curve of “average video game players” centers around people in their 20s with 14% being between 34-40. I assume the Steam-based demographic of VRChat follows that statistic. I’ve met 50+ year-old users in the game so I don’t think 30+ users are uncommon.

Quest users, on the other hand, I think are, on average, a younger audience but this is based on what I’ve personally seen.

30+ here there are a lot of us on this game but like the second guy said the average age is people in their mid 20's
Average age seems to be roughly 16 to 24 based on my own observation and opinion.... Also seems to be a lot more people 13 to 15 than 30 and up.

Nothing wrong with being over 30 and playing VRChat.

52 years old here and love my VRChat, plus I know about 5 or 6 other 50+ year old users, one being 68 years old. Unfortunately, I've met too many that says this is only for "young people." It's sad that this is the mindset of the world now, where people think older and younger can't interact.
I see, thanks alot for the response. I got this game back then when it first came out and i didnt had a VR headset at the time. I sorta was driven away from the excessive meme galore Era with barely any options to avoid it. Im 31 now and sorta thinking of giving it a go now since i have the Quest 2, however i worry that im prob too old to hang around with ppl and thought most of the community is under 18. I also heard stories of Alot of underage ppl about getting mixed up in issues with older folks and i wana avoid that too
I'm in my mid 30's, and while it's a little difficult to find people to have a conversation with between kids who yell profanities and play Skibidi Toilet on loop, it can be enjoyable.
The thing about being older is knowing things the younger ones don't know. Tags are your friends.

Immature adults who put the blame on impressionable children who learn from them are the real problem.

Grabbing a mirror might be a good option for you, sir.

Care to explain why I am immature, then? Because I don't like Skibidi Toilet?

Shutting down like a pouting teenager is not the shining example of maturity that you might think it is.
