It's still in the process of rolling out. Rolling out means that they are limiting who can do it so as to not overwhelm the service and to potentially catch any issues. If you don't have VRC+, just WAIT.

At first I thought it was scummy, but then I realised that an adult should be able to pay for a month of VRC+ so they can do a one-time age verification to access adult content.
The VRC+ subscription payment also goes towards paying Persona for their service.

The only people with a right to complain about a one-time payment in an otherwise free game are the ones getting screwed by regional pricing.

Agreed. They need to either make this 13+ sfw no smut, or make it 18+ only with smut. Or make one of each. Trying to put it all in one 'game' is a dumpster fire, and paywalling an 18+ tag is only going to make that worse.

Everyone in the thread missing the fact that Age verification is in EARLY ACCESS for VRC+ users atm. It costs them to verify each user so this is better for wider scale testing. It'll eventually be properly available to all.

Nobody reads in VRChat, it's kind of a staple of the community at this point. Looks at big header and throws a fit when they didn't even know there was an alpha phase for the feature...honestly it's quite amusing how fast these threads fill up with the same comments from 1000s of different people

I guess i'm fortunate enough to have been in one of those instances on New Years Eve that had someone gift the entire instance a month or 2 of VRC+, and I took the opportunity to get myself verified. I prob wouldn't have if not for that lol

Seriously. It was exclusive to certain groups before this. It'll eventually get released to everyone. VRC+ subscribers are just getting early access. It may be annoying, but it's general practice in the gaming industry at this point.
