possible to adjust mic sensitivity?
greetings folks,

i'm sure it has been asked before and i already know the answer.
it's not possible to adjust your mic sensitivity. but what i AM wondering.
is if there's a mod or something to allow me to adjust the sensitivity.

for some unfortunate reason my mic picks up everything from my typing to me siping my tea. even tho i got a stand alone mic. (blue snowball) great mic sure but it picks up everything!
in discord whatsoever i can at least adjust my mic so nobody has issues with it. unfortunately and this is why i hope to find a solution, vrc does not have this. and honestly there should be.

so yea TLDR,
any way to adjust mic sensitivity with or without mods?

mods are a nono, that said, look in to voicemeter and set its Gate for your mic to just above activation. look to youtube on how to set up voicemeter because damn it was a pain and i dont remember.

If you go to settings in the bottom right you can pick your mic input and above that you can adjust your sensitivity with the slider. I use RTX voice and an input of about 70% seems to block out anything unless someone is talking to me irl
