find my email account

i always logged in with steam and i created the account years ago , now i actually am playing and i want to change my name but i cant log into vrchat.com with steam and i dont see any way to see any information about my account in game settings or what, i dont know what to do for changing my name

if you never created a vrc account (which you said you always logged in with steam so this is assumed) you dont have an account other than through steam. (i.e. there is no vrc account to recover, just a steam account) now if you made a vrc account and merged it with the steam account one would hope youd have kept the account info like you would for any other login.

if thats what you want, follow these directions https://help.vrchat.com/hc/en-us/articles/360062659053-I-want-to-turn-my-Steam-Oculus-or-Viveport-account-into-a-VRChat-account

basically dont favorite anything or add friends on the vrchat account and the merge will transfer whats on the steam account, but if you have ANY favorites or friends on the vrc account it will ignore whats on the steam account

so if you want to do it, create the account, do the merge, and exit because itl take a day or 3 to complete from what ive read (i never done it myself)

you could contact VRChats support, and send them your steamID, they might be able to help you.
