VR chat for phone users is the worst idea ever !

why?

do you remember when Vrchat was only for pc and HTC vive users was really good time then quest 2 was out and holly cow the down fall of the community and a lot of weirdos and e daters joined the game and ruined public lobbies but now VRChat ADDED VRCHAT FOR PHONES like omg now it's gonna be 4x worst full of kids and troll and people use cheats and ruin vrchat completely and old men will be able to play this game to.

my suggestion is make this cross play optional for quest/pc users also id verification for adults.

please this game could not get worse than this.

this game will end down hell.

Tbh, I don't really think VRC should've ever come to most phones. Quest 2's and older VR Headsets already have trouble running VRC, so Mobile was kinda gonna be a disaster regardless.

As for Optional Cross-Play, I am pretty sure that would defeat the purpose of VRChat as a game. You are meant to meet other people across the world across various devices. This change would pretty much separate the community into PC Only, and Android and I-Phone Only.

As for the ID Verification, I think it would be good for 18+ Accounts, but I feel that people could easily just get their parent's ID's or make fake ones to trick the system. I just don't think it would work.

Good news everyone; VRC is implementing Age Verification via an EU based 3rd party Persona, managed by the ever strict GDPR, they're ranked 1st across all Use Cases in the Gartner® Critical Capabilities report for Identity Verification.
Maybe they'll even update the SDK so explicit avatars/worlds are automatically hidden from the unverified! (that'd be nice)

I just tried Persona's age verification on Roblox. If this will be anything like that then you use your smartphone to take a picture of the ID, and then you have to show it three sides of your face. (front, slightly left, slightly right.)
These can't be saved images either, has to be done then and there with fresh new images that don't even get saved to your phone. It's a pretty obvious verification process too, so uh... Well, you can't 100% stupid-proof a process, but by this point it'd be solely the parent's fault if someone is age verified that shouldn't have been.
