how do i turn off non-family friendly stuff like worlds and avatars

Just set your safety settings to block all avatars. If there are ones you want to see, select the individual and show their avatar manually. As for worlds, those are pretty easy to avoid.

theres settings that block worlds and avatars with some settings, like for example if a avatar is tagged as sexually explicit and you have the toggle turned on for it to not show, it will not show. these options are automatically on and locked on for people under 18, but you can change which ones are on or off in quick menu > click settings icon twice to reach bigger settings menu > comfort & safety > scroll down to reach "content gating".
Some avatars and worlds wont be marked sometimes, but you can report the avatar or world for missing ratings. have fun

In my experience, very few people run around with nude avatars in public. In the rare case that happens though, you can just block that user or even block the avatar globally.

Filter out who you interact with and you can reliably bring that number to 0
