VRchat desktop mouse freeze and lag!
I had a strange problem, I had never had such a problem before. When I enter vrchat desktop and start moving the mouse, the game starts to lag and freeze, so much so that even the sound starts to lag. When the mouse does not move everything is fine.
Such a problem is only in vrchat desktop, in other games and in vr mode there is no such problem.

Exit the resident application of DeepL translate.
Reduce the polling rate of the mouse to 125.
These are said to be effective in solving the problem...
I suspect a bug of EAC.

I don't use DeepL translate.
Reduce mouse polling rate to 125.
I tried it didn't help

When I move using the keyboard, there is no lag.
When I move the view with the mouse or gamepad (checked now) the lag is very strong. It literally hangs a lot.

I found! The problem is caused by a conflict between the EAC and the 4t Tray Minimize program

Glad your problem is resolved!
I have not yet found my application that caused it ... lol.
Perhaps time will fix it.

it is likely that you also have an EAC conflict with some program.
The problem occurred after Windows Update, although it may just be a coincidence.

I have the same problem. You mentioned that it was the EAC and 4t Tray Minimize program conflict that caused the problem. How exactly did you fix it?

VRChat is not yet friendly with the program "Stardock Groupy" Everything was fine with her before. I decided to add the game to the whitelist exception. Did not help. I had to turn it off "Stardock Groupy" while playing. The mouse began to fly across the screen. Very strange. What about the joystick controller and gamepad like "Xbox 360". The game always ran smoothly and without lags with this program. But the mouse lags in the game and for similar software with windows on and for which the interface changes "Windows"

Thank you so much! This actually helped me find the problem with my game. I've launched this game for the first time in years, see they've added EAC and stuff. Never had problems with it before on a weaker PC, and my current one is pretty good. But it was unplayable, stuttering and freezing every other second (straight from loading into the homeworld where I'm all alone).

Turns out it was caused by a program called SmartSystemMenu. It's a cool little thing, allows you to manipulate every Windows, err, window, set it to be always on top, edit transparency, make it click through, change resolution etc. But I guess it tries to get admin access to every window, and VR Chat, being in windowed mode by default, doesn't like it. I turrned the program off, and it's been smooth and stable FPS.

Thank you for mentioning this! Turns out my identical problem (also affecting Elden Ring) was caused by another app that does the same thing, RBTray. (I have been using that to minimize the console window of a media server.)

So I guess I can't use that anymore. But the problem is really EAC being a thing, urgh.

Hey guys, I am running into a similar issue with VRChat. I have been playing as early as 4 hours before, closed the game, came back and when I loaded in the world broke. Turned into a rainbow vision and froze. I heard deleting voicemeeter, updating drivers, and various other problems could clear up the issue, but no luck. Tried reinstalling as well to no avail What about clearing any content that is downloaded to the files? Maybe got a virus of some sort?

Edit: VR chat is allowed on the firewall as well.

I know this is an old post, but I'm writing this for those who are still experiencing the same issue.

I experienced the same issue, and I occasionally saw the following error message when closing VRChat:
```
[Easy Anti-Cheat]
Untrusted system file
...\Sublime Text\Packages\IMESupport\imesupport_hook_x64.dll
```

In my case, the problem was resolved by removing the relevant Sublime Text package.

Since this error message appears sporadically upon exit, I recommend repeatedly launching and closing VRChat. This way, you might be able to identify files conflicting with VAC. :D

This finally gave me the hint I needed to fix the problem for myself.

I'm running a program called "DisplayFusion" to have different wallpapers per screen by stitching them together into a suitable single wallpaper.

But it also has a bunch of other features where it hooks into the window draw process to add more buttons and such.

Initially, everything seems fine, but after a few hours in desktop mode, I would run into the weird mouse look lag issue and it would worsen over time.

It turns out that exiting "DisplayFusion" immediately fixed the issue, so it's probably the same conflict.

I've been experiencing this problem for years now, and it baffles me how the solution is to actually just to stop a background process. Wow.
