Reduce the polling rate of the mouse to 125.
These are said to be effective in solving the problem...
I suspect a bug of EAC.
Reduce mouse polling rate to 125.
I tried it didn't help
When I move using the keyboard, there is no lag.
When I move the view with the mouse or gamepad (checked now) the lag is very strong. It literally hangs a lot.
I have not yet found my application that caused it ... lol.
Perhaps time will fix it.
The problem occurred after Windows Update, although it may just be a coincidence.
Thank you so much! This actually helped me find the problem with my game. I've launched this game for the first time in years, see they've added EAC and stuff. Never had problems with it before on a weaker PC, and my current one is pretty good. But it was unplayable, stuttering and freezing every other second (straight from loading into the homeworld where I'm all alone).
Turns out it was caused by a program called SmartSystemMenu. It's a cool little thing, allows you to manipulate every Windows, err, window, set it to be always on top, edit transparency, make it click through, change resolution etc. But I guess it tries to get admin access to every window, and VR Chat, being in windowed mode by default, doesn't like it. I turrned the program off, and it's been smooth and stable FPS.
So I guess I can't use that anymore. But the problem is really EAC being a thing, urgh.
Edit: VR chat is allowed on the firewall as well.
I experienced the same issue, and I occasionally saw the following error message when closing VRChat:
```
[Easy Anti-Cheat]
Untrusted system file
...\Sublime Text\Packages\IMESupport\imesupport_hook_x64.dll
```
In my case, the problem was resolved by removing the relevant Sublime Text package.
Since this error message appears sporadically upon exit, I recommend repeatedly launching and closing VRChat. This way, you might be able to identify files conflicting with VAC. :D
I'm running a program called "DisplayFusion" to have different wallpapers per screen by stitching them together into a suitable single wallpaper.
But it also has a bunch of other features where it hooks into the window draw process to add more buttons and such.
Initially, everything seems fine, but after a few hours in desktop mode, I would run into the weird mouse look lag issue and it would worsen over time.
It turns out that exiting "DisplayFusion" immediately fixed the issue, so it's probably the same conflict.
I've been experiencing this problem for years now, and it baffles me how the solution is to actually just to stop a background process. Wow.
