Does anyone else have this issue? Help??

Hello everyone. I am currently having an issue where anytime I load up VRChat on VR, or even desktop my game refuses to load worlds or avatars. If I were to just go and attempt to go into a world it'd start the download for like a millisecond, stop and go back to my home world by default. If I load up an avatar that I am not wearing/have downloaded already it'd just go to an error, then I'd have to reset it about 50 times and then it works.

Now, if I unplug my VR from my computer and just play on regular quest its fine but I prefer PCVR only because VRChat still has issues on native Quest.

I have cleared my cache, I have verified integrity and done everything. Nothing seems to work and now I am just stuck in a 'error' world. It's no big deal in the long run but I would like to be able to just mess around once in a while. Any tips are welcome and helpful. Cheers.

Yeah no I did all of that, it's not a connection issue as my Quest works perfectly. But just not the PC version.

yes your quest using wifi and thus a different network coinnection than your pc, but im sure you "did all that"

As I explained in my post I died everything under the sun when it came to this, I am simply asking if anyone else had this issue and if they do - did they fix it. I been having this issue for a few months after being burnt out. My Computer is fine on every other game I play that is VR and non-vr alike. So I doubt it's a Network issue even if I did do it again and can bet it won't fix it even if I do the recommended method again.

I'm not saying it's not helpful, but like I said every recommended method I found did not work.

oh thank ♥♥♥♥ i'm not the only one with this issue
i've never really noticed anything regarding avatars outside of being in multiplayer servers, but holy ♥♥♥♥ is the non-existent downloading a pain in the ass. hell my home world doesn't even load, it just kicks me straight into the error world.

i had this issue before actually and there seems to be a post with the same issues from the 12th, so honestly either someone'll arrive with a fix of some kind or literally all we can do is wait and hope to god it works again which is absolutely annoying. hopefully it's the former.

I've have been getting this issue since a month to 2 months ago, haven't seen any fix and all i know is that it could be a network issue. But from what I've seen its not a "1 fix all" thing. I have a feeling as Doggo said, we need to wait for Vrchat to notice this issue and fix it. It has gotten a lot worse this past update tho. It seemed like any edit to the Coding/data of vrchat does mess with the issue. I would say its like a flipping of the light switch. Some worlds work while others don't and if you try to fix it, it does the opposite. That I do know. (sorry if this wasn't helpful)

Help this has been going on for a month. It's not being fixed. I'm having all of the same issues as stated above, please. If anyone has a solution, please help me. The PC I'm using has had no previous issues.

Also having the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Issue here - would have that a couple worlds would load, others would not and just throw me back to my home world. sometimes avatars will load, others i have to reset or hide and re-show like 20 times before they load.

sometimes when loading the game says "make sure have an active internet connection on my device" but then would disappear and work for a a bit.

i've deleted the "%appdata%" which them just seems to break the game entirely and just loads me in the error world and won't even load a single avater.

Thank you all for the interaction. I'm sorry that you guys suffer the same fate as me, but, hopefully there's a fix coming soon.


From what little more research I found people on reddit say a VPN works but I unfortunately don't wanna buy a VPN for such trivial matters. Hopefully in the coming months or so there's a fix.

Trust me mate. That's what we are all here to figure out.

Have you tried to see if a VPN Works? I know it's not ideal but someone told me that's a good start.

I'm also getting issues with 0 MB loading worlds and worlds having no preview and refusing to download, kicking me to home worlds and avatars timing out by not loading (I would have to open up avatar detail and have it download there), etc.

Edit: I forgot to mention, but for me, it seems like brute forcing by closing and opening the game seems like the temporarily solution for me. I do hope the developers do end up fixing it in the future

it seems to have happened after the 2024 new years world, thats when i started having these issues as well and its really tiring having to try and fight vrchat just to find an avatar that i want to walk around as, can't even join my friends or anything
